About the Scheme:

The Department of State Growth (DSG), Tasmania, Main Roads Western Australia (MRWA), and the Department of  Transport and Main Roads offer a scheme to enable the operation of heavier and larger Performance Based Standards (PBS) combinations.

Benefits of the Scheme:

In TAS, the scheme allows the operation of PBS Level 2 combinations which exceed 26m and/or 68.5t GCM.

In WA, the scheme allows PBS Combinations approved by the NHVR to gain an equivalent network access in WA.

In QLD, the scheme allows the operation of PBS combinations on a greater network via permit where TMA is required and not Smart OBM when operating at GML or CML.

Regulatory Telematics Requirements:

TMA is a requirement for all eligible vehicles of this scheme.
